JOB ADVERT Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products or promotions. Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive shopping experience. Cash Handling: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely. Provide correct change to customers and maintain a balanced cash drawer. Checkout Efficiency: Scan and bag items quickly and efficiently. Ensure that all items are properly priced and labeled. Monitor and manage the checkout area to avoid congestion and maintain a smooth flow of customers. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Double-check prices and quantities to ensure accurate transactions. Verify age-restricted purchases and follow company policies. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean and organized. Monitor and restock bags, receipt paper, and other supplies as needed. Assist with general store cleanliness and restocking tasks during slow periods. Qualifications: Degree in any related field Proven experience 3 years as a cashier or in a customer service role is a plus. Strong numerical and communication skills. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
